Member Handbook

General Rules

• Treat everyone with Respect
• No Hate Speech: Sexism, Racism, Homophobia, Transphobia, etc.
• Do not abuse any Cheats or Glitches 
• Swearing is allowed as long as it is not directed at any member or used in a Derogatory manner
• Members may not spy on other organizations nor shall any member spy on our organization.
• Members must at least 18 years of age OR 16+ with approval of council
• Any Member found to be in violation of any of these rules will face consequences up to and including a permanent ban.

  • Qualifications
    • Members who are only on the discord 
    • Members in this category are not able to attend practice
• Community member
  • Qualifications
    • Members who are not part of any Game but are members on website Or Members who are part of a game but have yet to do orientation
    • Members in this category can attend up to 3 practices per month 
    • Members in this category have voting rights for Liaison election
• Team Member
  • Qualifications
    • Members who are part of a Game division and have completed Orientation
    • Members in this category attend practices
    • Members in this category have full voting privileges
    • Members in this category can join teams and compete in official RCG Leagues

  • Committee that moderates RCG leagues and tournaments as well as plans them

    • Moderate official RCG Leagues/Tournaments
    • Schedule and Plan RCG League/Tournament
    • Help with official RCG League organization

• Community Liaison
  • Represents the members at biweekly council meetings
  • Responsibilities
    • Attend Biweekly council meetings
    • Vote on topics presented
    • Represent the ideas from the members
    • Must be voted in See Election below
• Division Leader
  • In Charge of one specific Game
  • Responsibilities
    • Manage the regional Commanders
    • Keep council up to date on their division
    • Recommend discipline actions to council
    • Make Sure Division runs smoothly
  • Division Leaders are appointed by the Council.
• Regional Commander/Assistant Regional Commander
  • In Charge of Either NA or EU for specified game
  • Responsibilities
    • Manage region 
    • Help Scouting Grounds run Smooth
    • Manage assigned teams 
    • Assist Division Leader in their tasks
    • You can become a RC or ARC by applying for the position.
• Team Captain
  • In Charge of Specific Team
  • Responsibilities
    • Manage team
    • Submit Paperwork
    • Team Captains are chosen by their team or appointed by Regional Commanders
• Team Members
  • The individual players that make up teams
  • Responsibilities
  • Attend practice
  • Follow rules & regulations of the community.

      • Must attend 60% of practices in a month

      • Must attend 75% of Practices per month
      • Must compete in 1 league or Tournament game per month

General Rules

• May not be part of another organization in the game you are registered for 
• Must notify Staff within 24 Hr of Missed practice or will be given a No Show
• No Show
• 3 Consecutive No Shows results in Kick from RCG
• 5 total No Shows results in 1 month demotion to Community member

Team Structures

• Scouting Grounds
  • Place where new players are added
  • Teams are formed here 
  • Players are trialed with existing team
  • Practice Wednesday and Sundays at 8pm est NA/ 7pm bst/gmt EU
• Casual Teams
  • Teams that play for fun 
  • Practice Wednesday and Sundays at 8pm est NA/ 7pm bst/gmt EU
• Competitive Teams
  • Teams that practice at least 2 times per week
  • Set own practice schedule
  • Play tournament/League Games

Appeals Process

• Ability to appeal can be overridden by a full Council Majority
• Appeal
  • When an accused is banned/kicked from RCG they will be given a Suspension Role and all other roles will be removed.
  • The accused must send a written request In suspension discord channel notifying of choice to appeal within 5 days on Ban/Kick 
• Full Majority of Council + Community liaison can deny appeal
• Once an appeal request has been received Tribunal members will be notified and a hearing will be set up within 7 days. 
• 5 Tribunal Members will be randomly choose 2 are alternates
• The Council representative and Accused can each choose to eliminate 1 tribunal member out of the original 3. If they choose to do so the alternate will be entered
• Each case will have 3 tribunal members. 
• Case will consist of 1 member of the Council who will provide the case information and evidence. Accused will then have a chance to defend themselves. After both sides are heard, the Tribunal will decide to either uphold or overturn the ruling. 
• If Decision is overturned, the Council will need to come up with non Ban/Kick Discipline. 
• Exception is the Tribunal may choose to change a ban to a kick.
• Tribunal
  • 10 total
  • Open signups need to be in good standing. 
  • Will get access to tribunal channel 
  • Must keep each case confidential any one who violates this rule will be kicked from tribunal. 

Community Liaison

• Community Liaison is an elected representative for the members in the community.
• Elections will be held quarterly(every 3 months) for Community Liaison
• Nomination of candidates will take place 1 week before election 
• Vote will be held on the website, link will be provided on discord.
